hi! i'm Kelly.
I love people, places, and stories.
That's about all I know for sure right now. I don't quite know yet what this blog is or what I want it to be. I made it because a friend encouraged me to and because I needed my own space to write. I'm not, and never was, much of a journal-er. Words, I believe, are meant to be shared.
Somewhere in all of the test grading, worksheet-making, project-planning, email-answering, child-guiding work of my everyday, there are other sides of me. There is a writer, a creator, and an athlete. There is a girlfriend, friend, sister, and daughter. I hesitate to ascribe more labels to myself because as a friend said of herself, "I like that I don't fit in a box." Well, I like that about myself too.
Currently, I'm practicing contentment for where I am and holding onto hope for where I want to be. Here you can expect to read a mix of stories that reveal my dreams and fears, recount my teaching and coaching experiences, and reflect on my daily life and my ever-growing and changing faith. I'll probably constantly be bragging about all of the incredible people in life that God has so graciously blessed me with. I might sprinkle in some creative writing too.
I'd love for you to meet me in this space as I seek to dream, hope, inspire, and create.
